Shema (part 3): God Loves Us In The Pain [Matthew 22:34-40]

August 1, 2010 - Before we can do what Jesus commands here: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and love your neighbor as yourself, we need to trust that God loves us. And one of the problems with that is the problem of pain. Why does an all powerful God allow devastating pain in the lives of the people He loves? Why? Whenever we’re in a painful situation, one of the first questions we ask is why. Whether its cancer, or divorce, or death, or any hardship, we want to know why.
